<|>   Dear Friends,
As many of you are aware, I have taken on the responsibility as editor
of the Southern Appalachian Friend (newsletter).  I am anxious to
begin and would like your support.

<|>   For the first newsletter I am requesting people to comment on
their experience at the annual Meeting this year at Warren Wilson
College and how your Meeting may have integrated this experience 
at home in your individual Meetings.

<|>    The first deadline for submission is August 19, 2000.

<|>  I ask that each Meeting have a representative to be 
responsible for sending in an article on a quarterly basis.

<|>  These articles may contain news from your Meeting, 
announcements, minutes, or special topics.  I would like any articles 
to be 350 words or less. You may mail photos, advertisements, 
drawings, or poetry as well.  This is your newsletter and I encourage 
everyone to be involved. Please do not send your Meeting for 
Business Minutes and expect me to sort through them to find
what is important for you to share.  The time I have to devote to this
is limited.
