Maybe it is worth to take a look at: http://www.grml.org While it does not meet all the requirements outlined in Debian LiveCD's goals. It is more Debian than Knoppix.

• official debian packages
• unofficial ones which will be pushed to debian soon (leading edge versions)
• unofficial packages which will never be part of debian (non-free... etc)
