voting

Now the Debian project is apparently reduced to using the voting system to decide about issues like what architectures to include in the next release. If this really happens, then IMHO, it means that Debian is completly hidebound and incapable of functioning. Nothing has made me want to leave the project more in the last 3 years, or has seemed more likely to end in that than this most recent call for votes on adding amd64 to sarge. I am not interested in being part of a project that can only make technical decisions by long drawn out voting processes.
