Dear Friends in SAYMA,

The Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC), the widest of all wider Quaker organizations, consists of member Yearly Meetings and scattered Friends around the world. Its purpose is to encourage fellowship among all the branches of the Religious Society of Friends. In pursuit of that purpose, FWCC sponsors various regional and international gatherings, such as the recent Triennial in Dublin, Ireland.

January 3-6, 2008, there will be a gathering in Jamaica sponsored by Jamaica Yearly Meeting and the Southeast Region of FWCC Section of the Americas. The Southeast Region includes these yearly meetings: Baltimore, North Carolina (FUM), North Carolina (Conservative), Southern Appalachian, Southeastern and Jamaica. The gathering is open to all Friends.

You are invited to a unique experience of worship, community and learning with Jamaican Friends. Explore the contribution of Quakers to the history of Jamaica and the importance of Friends' peace testimony in contemporary Jamaican (and US) society. Share in praise, worship and song with Jamaican young Friends. Visit with local Friends' meetings/churches.
