Many rural counties were also hit hard by the tornadoes and have had less publicity. See attached.

Subject: Federation offers its Rural Training Center in Epes as staging area for assistance to Alabama Tornado victims

Attached is a factsheet that I have prepared giving background and information on the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund and our efforts to make our Rural Training and Research Center near Epes, Alabama available as a staging area to assist victims of the tornados in the Alabama Black Belt and Tuscaloosa.

The factsheet also indicates the small rural communities surrounding our Center that have been impacted by the tornados.
Our staff is still doing research to identify other Alabama Black Belt people and communities in need of assistance

The Federation's Rural Training Center is on a farm between Epes and Gainesville, Alabama off Sumter County Road 21 North.
It is six miles from the Epes/Gainesville Exit (23) on Interstate 59/20 that runs between Meridian and Birmingham.
The street address is 575 Federation Road, Epes, AL 35460.
The phone number at the Center is 205/652-9676.

We are in need of funds, food, water, clothes, baby supplies, generators, tarps, building materials and other supplies to distribute to victims.
We have a large storage area that can hold these materials and supplies for re-distribution to other communities,

Contact me if you have questions, suggestions or concerns ... JZ
