"Evolution" is a mechanism of the universe.  Evolution was not made by 
humans.  Humans use it,, like or like it not.
As a Quaker, my Meeting west of Seattle, studied Richard Dawkins "The 
Selfish Genes"  I there he coined the
word "mene".  One is "fit" is one who has grandchildren.  Of course, in 
sexual reproduction.
