Dear Friends,

Here is another place to check when you receive an e-mail with
apparently laudable content, but possibly dubious origins --

this is a hoax. go to the following link to verify. It has been
circulating for years and I personally have received it several times.

http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/cgi-bin/webglimpse-hoaxbusters/www/hoaxbuste
rs/archive?query=National+Public+Radio&lines=on&errors=0&age=&maxfiles=5
0&maxlines=30

If this link for some reason doesn't work for you go to the
http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/hoaxbustershome page and enter "National
Public Radio" in the search hoaxes field.

If you are really concerned about funding for NPR (it is always a
concern) an internet list will not influence that significantly one way
or the other. However if all the people who signed this e-mail sent a
handwritten letter to their congressman/senator. NPR would be given
much more of the clout that it so justly deserves.
